Apply for GCMS Officer Notes
Understand the reasons for your visa refusal
GCMS (Global Case Management System) is Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC’s) system used to process visa applications. The system contains a detailed record of each applicant’s file, including detailed notes from the visa officer who reviewed your file.

This information is not included in your refusal letter.
Why should I get GCMS notes?
Understanding why your visa application was refused is vital to giving yourself another chance at getting approved. By understanding the issues in your application, you are able to make the necessary improvements in a new application, leading to a higher chance of approval.
Without the GCMS notes, you're left with a generic refusal letter that doesn't give you any specific about your file. Reapplying without the GCMS notes is a poor strategy and will likely lead to further refusals.
Remember, in the Canadian immigration world, the more refusals you have,
the less likely you are to be approved.
